I have been interested in fitness and nutrition for most of my life. I am a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor at a large university and run my own personal training/bootcamp business.  I also run marathons, and have been training for the NYC Marathon during the time I did Fit for Photos.

I love my job, I love training clients, but I found myself discouraged that I wasn’t where I wanted to be, both physically and nutritionally and I wanted to make a change.  I did it for myself, but also to show those around me that it IS possible to tweak your diet, change your workout routines, and in the end, change your life.

The accountability to Scott was huge.  Every time I ate anything, anytime I worked out, I knew I was accountable to Scott, and that I had made a promise to him that I would stay true to the program for the duration.  I followed his plan exactly.  It was hard.  It took an incredible amount of discipline, self-control and dedication.  In the end, I was shocked by my results.  As someone who has worked out my whole life, I never in a million years thought I would achieve the results I have achieved.

I lost about 20 pounds during the course of the program.  I took my body fat down to about 17% (tested by ultrasound, so a pretty accurate number).  I lost 3 pants sizes on the way. My running improved by leaps and bounds, even though my weekly mileage has been lower than past training periods.  I feel great.  The stomach issues I have had in the past have disappeared.

I am a mom to 3 kids – 2 teenage daughters, and a 9 year old son.  I have always wanted to set the absolute best example of health and wellness for my kids, so that when the day comes and they go off on their own, and make their own choices for diet and exercise, they will be healthy ones.  I hope they see me as an example of healthy choices.

We don’t have control over everything in life, but we do control what we eat, the fitness choices we make and how we impact the lives of others.  I learned more in 56 days on Scott’s program than I learned in years of study on my own.  I’m grateful to my friend, The Abs Expert, for that.
